Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MachineCert’s websites, products, and services. By using MachineCert, you agree to these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

This document is provided for general information and is not legal advice. Final published terms should be reviewed by counsel.

01Use of the service

  • You may use MachineCert only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.
  • You are responsible for your account, your users, and the activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it other than through documented interfaces.

02Accounts & plans

  • Paid plans, trials, and the free plan are described on the Pricing page and any order form.
  • Plan limits (such as monitored or managed certificate counts) apply as described at purchase.
  • Trials may convert or expire as described at sign-up.

03Customer data

  • You retain all rights to the data you provide. You grant us the rights necessary to operate the service.
  • We process certificate metadata only and never collect private keys.
  • Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

04Acceptable use

  • Do not use the service to violate the rights of others, breach security, or engage in unlawful activity.
  • Do not resell or provide the service to third parties except under an authorized partner agreement.

05Service availability

  • We aim for high availability and publish status information via the Trust Center.
  • We may perform maintenance and will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption.

06Fees & payment

  • Fees are described in your plan or order form and are due as agreed.
  • Usage-based charges, where applicable, are billed according to actual usage.

07Intellectual property

  • MachineCert and its software, brand, and content are owned by MachineCert and LogMeOnce.
  • These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the right to use the service.

08Warranties & disclaimers

  • The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law.
  • Enterprise agreements may include specific commitments and SLAs.

09Limitation of liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in your agreement with us.

10Termination

  • Either party may terminate as described in the applicable agreement. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends.

11Changes

  • We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated and reflected in the “last updated” date.
